That is true! This is my new hobby Geese.

Hey I bought one of those new custom made Wooden Neo's from Analog Interactive, It's the most amazing console I own, so nice and plugs straight into my HDTV, unibios3, plays all carts, MVS, AES, bootlegs, everything.

Yeah I'm trying to find original US carts mainly. Art Of Fighting 3 JAP AES is going around 280 to 300 USD, the US copy we are looking at over 1,000 AUD.

I found a couple mint and ok carts for Art Of Fighting 2 AES, US copy from 50 to 150 AUD.

Those wooden units are magnificent - playing MVS as well as AES is great, I've got a Phantom converter and it does the job but nowhere near as convenient as an all-in-one console.

AES carts look 100x better on your shelf than MVS carts.

Geese, yeah that's the thing. I like the US AES carts the best, and they just happen to cost an arm and a leg! if I wanted buy, say Samurai Showdown V special + Real Bout 2, US version together? I'm looking at spending half my pay! almost, I think I will collect these, just 1 at a time. It will take a couple of years, should be fun. Right now I'll buy a couple Japanese Carts to get it going, then go from there.

Ahh check this site out, which you may already know. Custom inserts and shock boxes for MVS games, a cheaper alternative. These covers look too nice! so many to choose from

They're nice and economical, but I also like the re-sale value of AES carts even though I'm never going to sell them. 8)

Oh nice one Dave, hey I didn't know you were collecting also, though I should of expected that!. How many games do you have? when I've got my collection up and running I'll take photos,  though at the moment I bought all the covers for the games I want, now all I need to do is buy MVS carts over time

lol, I just started after I confirmed my MV-1A was working with my Supergun ... Currently my only game is Twinkle Star Sprites, but I just ordered those other two. I think that'd be it for now as I am quite broke >_< lol

But yeah that site is pretty good, and if you want to get a bunch of carts it seems like good value compared to eBay. I just realised you can get arcade setup kits or just carts themselves ... I probably should have saved some money and just got carts :(

I'm not sure what they're worth, so maybe make an offer.
I can provide photos if u like.
They'll play in english if u set the unibios to a English region.

Nice, that's a bonus, Twinkle Star Sprites in on my to buy list,  I just ordered a pile of MVS's as well. And now I am officially broke! I have banned myself from Ebay for the next month, at least, perhaps longer (I wonder how long it will take before I forget) but yeah I took a look at the site you bought from, it reminds me of being back in Japan, the prices are very much the same as they were in the shops there, good times

Definetly! I'm liking the the Real Bout 2,  I realized my system can only play MVS carts... a real shame, but it's OK for now. Nice collection man, you take care of your carts, and I see a Phantom AES to MVS convertor, that's great - I wonder if they are still available, I can't find them atm

Ummm yeah I want KOF98, maybe it's the KOF is anniversary edition?. Yeah just the game cart itself is going from around $15-30 USD these days, if it's the full kit in mint condition, probably around 70 USD, depends on the site though, Ebay has them for (whoops I am not allowed to go there, banned!) lol   :spd: :p:

I checked my ebay account and I paid $70 for Kof 98, cos its an original not a bootleg

I'll sell it for $35 plus post
or sell bot carts for $50 plus post

So thats 2 KOF carts, 98 and a mystery KOF cart, which works out at $25 each- What a bargain !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im in the West of Melbourne, pickup available if logistically possible for yourself.
I've sold on this board before, a Neo Geo MVS system.

Bought an AES copy of KOF97. Another nice addition to the collection.

Vlade are you coming down for SS? If so you're invited to my house for a retro games day. My friend you will be buttered beyond belief.

Hey! KOF97, wikkid. I am sorry I didn't see this post earlier, I would love to go to SS, if I can get leave I will... but I will let you know, thanks for the invitation as well that would be awesome!. It's a bit tricky to get time off work around May 5th.

Here is what I got recently, managed to get some custom covers

Anyone want to bulk buy some ShockBoxes by the way? I only need like 5, but it seems the optimal number per order is 18 to save on shipping so if anyone is interested let me know. Probably will work out at about 12/ea.
