@thefifthark - FFF isn't essential, the difference between FFF xx EX Seismo and c.HP xx EX Seismo that the FFF version does an extra 40 damage to your opponent for a stupidly higher difficulty of execution.
I strongly disagree. So much to the point that comments like this piss me off. FFF is basically the gateway drug to the rest of her more execution heavy tools that are necessary for her to do well in top level competition. hitconfirms into Sjc ultra's, counterhit mp hitconfirms to link ultra/cr.hp, unblockable character specific setups, cr lk into hp feint for frame advantage, hp feint into u1, sjc fadc into sweep, and seismo chains are all significantly harder than FFF and are all essential to learn.
Her stun game is also one of the best in the game. FFF Ex Seismo into bk does 346 damage/550 stun whereas cr hp ex seismo into bk only does 290 damage/380 stun. You are giving up. 5% damage and 17% stun damage. That is a huge difference. If you FFF into meterless fadc into sweep that does 346 damage/620 stun. Thats 60% stun in 1 combo.
My main tip to all new viper players is not to be scared of the execution barrier. Most of her stuff isn't that hard to begin with but will get progressively harder as the return also gets greater. Once you learn these things however, don't be jumping around like an idiot(monmi syndrome) to land that cool flashy combo. Don't forget the basics. Viper normals are ass but learn their uses anyway(ie. fs.rh to beat shoto cr.mk, midscreen cr.hp to counterhit confirm to ex seismo etc). That and practice practice practice.
tl:dr - mon sucks, learn viper properly unlike him.
