Street Fighter V - General Discussion / Re: Street Fighter 5
« on: September 18, 2015, 11:06:40 AM »
Was really hoping for more of the 'original' cast!

Ryu, Ken, Guile, Sagat, Balrog, Vega, Bison, Zangief, Chun Li, Blanka, Honda and Akuma at the very least would be awesome.

I always thought/hoped those characters would make the cut, but with Karin's revealing today... :(

Fingers crossed, SFV looks better after every revision!

Anyone from PC that plays on PS4, add me - maxsze90

Regarding the gameplay on PS4 - Pretty good. First 2 nights playing, I must have run into lots of people on WiFi. It was actually pretty good on my not-for-gaming 55" ultimate cheapskate Soniq tv with a PS3 stick that has to additionally work through a ps4 controller for connectivity. If you get a BenQ or something Gamogo once recommended and had a PS4 stick, I think you'd be looking at PC/Xbox timing all over again.

Thought it'd be a good idea to get a PS4, it's now the official console @Capcom events and then there's SFV. . .

See you fellas

Alright lads, I did a spontaneous purchase of MGSIV PS4 bundle as I was in North Sydney. Now I also ended up buying USFIV on it. Add me: maxsze90

Random Discussion / Playstationplus Sub
« on: September 10, 2015, 10:19:00 AM »
Hi Folks, anyone know the cheapest place to get the subscription? Looking at the 1 year sub.

To start off: learn maximum damage off of all standard scenarios. Jump in combos, crumple combos, meterless, with meter, etc. Learn to hit confirm, recognise how soon you've hit someone and complete combo.

Minimise risk to self, blocking is a big thing, jumping frequently or at bad distances are expected and punished.

Learn neutral game, stay on ground, advance, poke with your best buttons, try to generate advantage safely. Learn block strings. You may occasionally jump after in a string. Also learn anti airs. Be consistent.

Finally play Ryu. Teaches you the most basic buffer, x fireball.

I was there a few days ago, 2 cabs on Super, 2 cabs on AE2012. All machines connect together and when they do I'm pretty sure it's AE2012. 2nd cab from the left is very slow.

Cabs in city amusement are good but only super. Shows ae 2012 in promo

The cab closer to outside is crook. fkuGGs trevor u dpfadc machine mofo

Time for some 2012.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 Top 8 Playoff
Spoiler for Hidden:
Winners bracket
EG|Momochi (Ken) vs. MCZ|Tokido (Akuma)
AiAi (Juri) vs. Infiltration (Evil Ryu, Elena, Chun-Li)

Losers bracket
EG|PR Balrog (Balrog) vs. BE|Nemo (Rolento)
AvM|GamerBee (Elena) vs. Liquid|NuckleDu (Decapre, Guile)

Spoiler for Hidden:
I'm cheering for Tokido/Infiltration. I always think that Akuma's health really messes with his consistency but Tokido is sitting up there time and time again.

Infiltration's decision to move away from Akuma is surprising, I would say he has a more methodical way of playing Akuma. He plays the game closest to a robot and he wins mostly by making people crack. Glad to see them both in Winners bracket.

Momochi is no surprise, he is a ridiculously good player (placing and skill), and if you put him, Tokido and Daigo as the representatives of the characters at their peak, Ken is pegged to be the best shoto by a small margin in terms of his flexibility to rushdown/chase and still has an acceptable keep away game in certain MUs. His block confirmable DP and the range of it raw and kara'd is also a thing.

Nemo's a great player, his Yang was real fun to watch and his reads/reactions are top notch. Rolento in his hands is ridiculous. On character select there are honestly 2 Rolentos for selecting. Nemo gets his own one, and everyone else picks a gimped version. That's just how it appears.

Glad to see PR Rog and Gamerbee, they are always great contenders. Nuckledu's placing is a little surprising, he's been doing alright, but I didn't see him as mentally strong as others and he does have a tendency to reversal. His Guile isn't particularly outstanding but that's Guile for you.

This looks fun!

cranpoobae's free. He doesn't even pull Hugo out cos he gets humiliated every time. His Cody also sucks as a result now. He used to be half good/better than niah. Now he just does random meat squashers that land once a week and hard read backbreakers that make him look like a potato.

Congratulations to niah for his consistent performances.

Ah, something to watch later. Looking forward to watching niah in a vortex and phero donating to charity.

That's weird, that's a premium stick, it should be plug and play.

Make sure the buttons are registering in Windows before you launch SF. Go to Control panel --> Hardware and Sound. It should appear as PC USB Wired Stick #### or as a game controller. If it just shows as game controller you might need to download drivers to get your stick working.

Whatever it is detected as, right click the controller device --> Game controller settings --> Properties. It should launch a mini-window representing the controller with a test screen. Pressing stuff on your arcade stick should correspond with what's on screen. If it doesn't, try other ports/multiple times before looking for drivers.
