I was wondering how common it is for people to show up to these types of events, and not play any games at all, just to watch others play?
And on top of that, do any of these matches get commentated and/or streamed?
I love watching competitive games, but haven't ever played any fighting games to any level other than button-bashing ... except maybe the first Killer Instinct. I might still recall some Fulgore/Cinder combos

Hello. You are more than welcome to come past and spectate for as long as you want. Spectating is free.
We've been streaming the last 2 YSBs thanks to Mike and his set up. Usually streamed matches also get commentated. If you want a link for yourself or your friends to follow www.twitch.tv/goodpart is where it's at.

MKX is shaping up to be an amazing game. Still way too early to hash out everything but so far so good. And variations can make a major difference in some characters.
Skullgirls isn't a game much played here in Sydney from what I know. You can put the word out for the next YSB and if there is enough interest, you can run a set up or two pending numbers.
As for Tekken 7, well it's only out on arcade and in only 2 countries at the moment (Japan and Korea) so it'll be a while before it makes its way to Australian arcades, little own console haha.

Unfortunately, we do not have any converters so you won't be able to use your Xbox 360 controller but you can definitely borrow someone's PS4 controller for the tournament.
