Both iinet and internode would be best options if its for gaming.

Just make sure that its via one of their DLSAMS not Telstras DSLAMS.

For internode make sure they have an agile dslam on your exchange that you can connect to.

If you choose iinet make sure you connect to one of their iiDslams

If you choose either option then this will allow you to reconfigure your connection using a gaming profile which disables things like interleaving which can be great for stable fast downloads but bad for time sensitive gaming.

iinets profile changer can be found here https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/Connection_Speed_Manager
internodes has a similar setup but you have to login under your account to change the settings and be connected to an agile dslam port.

Personally I would choose internode as I have had no major issues in the last 5 years with them.

I'm actually on iiNet service on a Telstra adsl2+ dslam and the service connection is pretty reliable. The issues I have most at the moment is the PSN dropping out for no apparent reason but all my other devises work fine.

TPG is just terrible, theres so many leechers + seeders on thier network that its bottlenecking the lines, i had so many troubles with TPG at my last unit, as soon as I got out of my contract I went with iinet, then never had a problem since, same line, same cables, same modem, same everything  :p:

*like* ^ ^

How would I go about checking the line noise? And my phone is connected to my router, does that still need a filter before it connects to the phone?

just plug your telephone handset into your normal landline (wall socket) without the modem connected then call either your mobile or just listen for any static or buzzing.

I live less than a k from the exchange, but TPG drops out alot and lags like dialup at times. Also voip is hella cheap.

Before making any major changes to your internet double check that you don't have any line noise if your internet is dropping out.
and make sure all your phones are filtered.

Cause those issues can come across no matter which provider your with.
also had cases for customer that where so close to exchange that they where getting feed back from the exchange causing them to drop out.

This is a pretty interesting post as I used to work for iiNet. Naked DSL only real benefit is if you do not need a land line service in your home. The speed of Naked DSL is same as any Adsl+ service it all depends how far away from the exchange you are.

I actually own one but the L and R button seem a bit tight, but they are pretty good.
also the way the controller is mapped does not work well on PS3. So i kinda had to design my own.

Edit*
I just fixed the L R buttons. So all good from a tech standpoint

Mainly because it didn't feel comfortable as it could be. Since modding it it's more fluid to do the circular movements etc.. Also I reckon a floating dpad is the best to use fightpad wise.

I modded a HORI fighting commander 3 fight pad cause i was having issues with the madcatz fightpad.
i basicly just changed the DPAD in a Floating DPAD it has essential became a miniature Fighting Stick now.

Just wondering what you guys think?
