So, does anyone play this game here?
I picked up the collection during the THQ humble bundle, and I've fallen a bit in love with the game. It's fun, but I'm getting bodied online, I'm still trying to find my team though. I've gone through Wermacht, British and now I'm thinking Panzer Elite might be my team.

I just wish they didn't enforce the Allies vs Axis only thing so that you could play as and against anyone at any given time.

Also looking forward to COH2 now, I was thinking of pre-ordering to get into the beta, but the pre-order prices on Steam are ridiculous!

So I bought this game on a whim from GOG and it's really quite good. It's very challenging which makes it rewarding, and it's also really heavy and kind of disturbing. They've managed to convey some very very brutal violence and make it impactful which is really an accomplishment considering the 8 bit graphics style.

The story keeps you in the dark from what I've played so far, but you have these bizarre meetings (nightmares) with masked men, and then relive flashbacks where you're hired to basically murder lots and lots of people. The gameplay is stealthy assassination, you need to basically go through undetected and take everyone out methodically and silently. One hit or one gun-shot equals death and guns will attract people from other rooms.

It was only $10, and i think it's well worth checking out if you can stomach the violence and dark tone.

Random Discussion / Anarchy Reigns: Out Now!

Hooray! After months of silence, SEGA has given western release dates for the Platinum Games fighter Anarchy Reigns. The game will hit the 360 and PS3 January 8, 2013 in the US and January 11, 2013 in Europe, with a retail price of $29.99/£19.99/€29.99. No word on the Bayonetta DLC, but fingers crossed that we get it.

I think I'll get this when it hits, it seemed fun from the demo (but not enough for me to drop money on an import right away).

$29.99 in US/Euro probably translates to about $39/$49 in Australia monies, but yeah, who knows. I would imagine only EBgames and JB Hi Fi will be carrying this on our shores, but we can always just hop on eBay and do the old 'Sort by price an postage: lowest first'. It'll be nice if it gets a decent online community for some low lag deathmatches online.

So seems kinda legit, here's my thoughts:

Virtua Fighter 2: Why? No really, why? We have Final Showdown out now which is cheap as chips and brilliant, why release Virtua Fighter 2? I know it's still a fun game but I feel that Virtua Fighter has superseded itself with each release and I can't see much market for this.

Fighting Vipers: Pretty cool news, this game was different enough to VF to warrant trying again. I hope it means that Fighters Megamix is one it's way as well.

Sonic the Fighters: Never played this but it looks batshit crazy and probably is horribly broken and all sorts of weird.

Hopefully Last Bronx will eventually make its way to the services soon too.

EDIT:
It's a model 2 collection! Wow!

My excitement for Bayonetta 2 outweighs my reluctance to buy a Wii U.

So it's got an official release date now, and it's only 800 points/$10. Bargain for a game like this one.

Also, achievements here:

I can't wait to get my hands on this, probably one of my all time favourite games.

Personally I'm really looking forward to this game, I've been playing Virtua Fighter since VF2, but never competitively. I've only ever really played it casually with friends, but hope to delve a little deeper with this title. Most likely will be maining Wolf, and dabbling with Jacky or Goh.
