Post Event Discussion / Photos from OHN12

Hi All.

Though Muttons was there with a camera, he was only taking video, therefore no one was taking photos over the weekend.
I took on the task to take some "OK" quality photos of the event.

If anyone wants to view the photos, they will be on the Gold Coast Fighters facebook page under the album name OHN12 2014
Feel free to tag yourselves and your friends.

I will eventually put the photos on the official Gold Coast Fighters website.

Kind Regards
GCF Dejan

Community News / Re: Fgc musicians
« on: September 12, 2014, 03:40:19 PM »

Like I stated in my interview for the Community: Australian FGC series that Muttons did, I considered Music to be my Passion and fighting games my Hobby.
As this post is about Musicians in the FGC, I am one of them.
I play Guitar, Bass, Drums and a variety of other instruments. So you can say I'm a multi-instrumentalist.
Those times where I should of been rehearsing and practicing my main instrument (Guitar), I was in fact playing fighting games ha ha ha.
I did a number of different musical projects but I consider these 3 to be my favorite.

End of the Race was a Funk/Rock/Alternative band where I played Lead Guitar. Check out this song of ours called "Crazy",
Listen out for the solo in the 2nd half of the song, that's all me.

Static D is my electronic music project, taking styles from Ambient, Trip-Hop, Down-Tempo and Electronica.  Here is one of my favorite tracks called "Nice Night".

And finally The Viridian Abstract, a Fusion style band that tried to blend the Subtlety of Blues and Delicacy of Jazz.  Here is a piece entitled "Never Going Back"

You can also listen to Static D and The Viridian Abstract others tracks on SoundCloud

Let me know what you think of the music.

Hi Everyone,

We would like to announce our partnership with Good Games Gold Coast, providing us with a venue to house our weekly meetups and special events. By doing this we hope to have more people getting into fighting games as well as promote the local business as many of our members are also into trading card and tabletop games. Let this be the beginning of a great partnership. Thank You Good Games.

We primarily play USF4, Marvel, KOFXIII and Guilty Gear Xrd, but we do house a variety other fighting games as well.
We have just recent got the local Smash/Melee players involved with our community, currently only Melee is played.
Our meet-ups are live streamed to Twitch so the whole world knows about our community on the Gold Coast.
