« on: July 28, 2011, 03:25:54 AM »
Hiya guys a friend and I were both building an Arcade Cabinet project each and unfortunately he has to pull the plug with his project. I will be selling his X360 on his behalf.

For Sale(pickup ONLY):

Brand New 4GB XBOX 360 Slim (matte black), box ONLY opened to remove Kinect Sensor & Game and to put in an additional controller(brand new also!). So that being said, contents include:
1x XBOX360 Slim
1x A/V Cables
1x Power Adaptor
2x Black Controllers*

Everything is brand new!
Looking for $200 SOLD
Pickup from myself @ St Albans (VIC 3023) or maybe we could arrange a meetup if its not too far away, as im taking care of my father atm and cant stray too far.

* For OHN members only, for an extra $20 I can remove one of the controllers and throw in a 2nd hand, extremely good condition, SF15th Anniversary Stick professionally converted for X360(official M$ controller PCB used).

- It actually has an official M$ plugpack also, it used to be wireless(when u want), but cos the M$ plugpacks have some weird selective thing going on and it dont work anymore. Another one for $15 from play-asia and ur good to go wireless again, plus u never know the plugpack(white) may work in one of ur other controllers!

Community News / Street Fighter EX revival?
« on: July 24, 2011, 01:27:40 PM »
Found this a lil while ago and forgot to post it, could we be getting a Street Fighter EX revival in the future?

Quote
Arika released new screenshots of an unnamed 3D fighting game for Nintendo 3DS, which labeled as test project. In the screenshots you can see characters fighting in 3D environment, if it goes well it may end up being a real 3DS title.

More images in source link.

Ono also had this to say recently @ ComicCon:
Quote
No Street Fighter EX characters from Arika in SFxT, but Ono said some of those people could show up in a future fighting game, as they have a good relationship still with Arika.

So what do u guys think? We may get another EX game in the future?
Was it really that popular back then to justify a sequel so many years later?
I spose Capcom really wants to revive the Fighting Game scene and make sure it lasts for a long time!
I cant believe the impact SF4 has done for the whole FG scene!

Community News / Hello Kitty X Street Fighter
« on: July 24, 2011, 01:01:16 PM »
Capcom and Sanrio announced a partnership between Street Fighter and Hello Kitty at Comic-Con. The two companies will release a wide range of co-branded Hello Kitty X Street Fighter merchandise starting in mid to fall 2012, include Hello Kitty dresses in Street Fighter costumes. It is uncertain whether the partnership also covers crossover videogames.

"Capcom has long admired Sanrio and their ability to create memorable and cherished lifestyle brands so it is a distinct pleasure to partner with them for this new cross-over line of merchandise," said Capcom Director of Licensing Joshua Izzo. "The combination of Street Fighter and Hello Kitty will offer fans a whole new way to experience our characters."

Sanrio marketing VP Jill Koch added "We are always looking for new ways to surprise our fans and partnering with a strong brand-focused company such as Capcom is a natural fit for us. Hello Kitty and Street Fighter have a dedicated core following around the world and our collaboration brings the legacy of both brands together in a fun and unexpected way."

Random Discussion / Phantom Breaker Demo up(JP Marketplace)
« on: March 20, 2011, 10:54:13 PM »
Do u guys still need more reasons to open up international accounts(or switch from PS3 to 360  :P ), well here is one more:

Phantom Breaker is a 2D fighting game featuring character designs from Hiro Suzuhira. The game will have two battle systems, the battle system is a bit complex but the control system will be simple.

Publisher: 5pb
Developer: Delta Factory
Platform: Xbox 360
Genre: Fighting
Origin: Japan
Release date: 28th April 2011

Game mechanics:
Quote
* 2 styles of play - Quick Style and Hard Style
          o Quick Style emphasizes speed and evasion, while Hard Style focuses on guarding and landing heavy attacks.
          o A well-timed directional input towards the opponent while being attacked will trigger 'Dodge' in Quick Style and 'Blocking' (Parrying) in Heavy Style.

    * Overdrive
          o Certain moves will trigger an Overdrive state, in which character in Quick Style will increase in speed, and those in Hard Style will receive defense boost.
          o Dependant to the Tension Guage.

    * Clash System
          o Crossing over of attacks from both players will result in clash.
          o Repeated clashing of moves will speed up Tension Guage gain.

    * Short Combo
          o Some simple chains can be performed by pressing the same attack button repeatedly.

    * Burst Guage
          o Dependant to the Tension Guage.

    * Guard break exists

Ive dabbled with the demo for about 10 mins and while I have no idea of whats going on yet, it does seem like a pretty cool game! Call me crazy, but im enjoying this more than the Mortal Kombat demo!!
Really hoping the full game leaves the shores of Japan so we can all get a taste of it. I think there is some potential in it!

Random Discussion / Skullgirls - PS3/360 DLC Fighter!!
« on: March 16, 2011, 02:13:20 PM »
PSN & XBLA

Skullgirls is a fast-paced 2D fighting game that puts players in control of fierce female warriors in an extraordinary Dark Deco world. From Autumn Games and Reverge Labs, Skullgirls uses advanced graphical technology to feature the unique art of Alex Ahad (Scott Pilgrim, Lava Punch) in collaboration with renowned tournament champion Mike "Mike Z" Zaimont. Calling to mind old-school arcade fighters – with a high-definition twist – it’s a one-of-a-kind, action-packed competition complete with awesome combos and an intriguing backstory.

Set in the fictional Canopy Kingdom, Skullgirls pits players against ranks of deadly but beautiful opponents in an attempt to control the enigmatic Skull Heart, a mysterious artifact with the power to bestow wishes – but not without a substantial price. Should the soul be less than pure, both the victor's wish and her being shall be corrupted into a living nightmare that haunts humanity. She will be known as the Skullgirl, a monstrous entity of immense power.
