Tech Talk / What is the best dual mod solution? solderless or soldered
« on: September 08, 2011, 01:30:56 AM »
I have a pcb issue on one of my TE's its a round 2 xbox stick that's barely been used, it drops out randomly causing the game to pause when playing offline :(. So I'm looking to dual mod anyway so I thought why not do it to the already broken pcb! I have seen a fair few different dual mod pcb's of both kinds and I'm wondering which one should I buy? Its been a long time since I have had a soldering iron in my hands (probably not since I was 14 I'm 22 now!) so I could probably pull it off and I was wondering is there a downside in using a solder-less mod?

I meant no offense I just have watched my friend play you and nearly pull his hair out because of the latency between wa and nz  :)

sorry to chime in here after so many posts, but skullanatorNZ is incredibly laggy and would consequently cause sodium levels to rise in Australia.

the te stick isn't THAT bad, i play on 360 so theres no way im using a pad. the only problem i have with the the te and mortal kombat 9 is doing the EX moves its sometimes hard to hit say X and BLOCK at the same time.

28
do you have the box they came in still?

I got given a xbox 360 s over the summer holidays for a present so i didn't need my white xbox 20 gig hdmi model, i wanna play kratos in mk9 and my other ps3 is broken so i thought id see if anyone wanted to swap a working xbox 360 for a working ps3 with a power cable

send me a text 0404 947 008 if you are interested as i might not check this often because of uni work

oh yeah and only in perth because i cbf shipping and its always good to check if things are working

namco might be slightly thinner but you would need a ps adapter to usb to get them to work on a laptop
