Just don't get shot by Soji's cupid-like love darts.

Incidentally, I love the story behind why he has MAXIMUM on his pants.

Originally 'Mantis' right? Didn't they switch to MAXIMUM because it worked with the sprite inverted (i.e. p2 side)?

Exactly, yeah. Works out a lot better, I think.

EX Sobat is -8, and can be spaced to -5 at PEAK MEATY. (Also the pushback in non-wakeup situations helps).

EX Jackknife is 15f air recovery + 11f landed recovery, but you have to be careful not to walk into the 6th hit.

Wish they'd change his fireball voice-over to the old school "Max-OUT!"

The only thing I like about Dee Jay is his incredibly crap wake up game.  ;) I haven't even thought of Dee Jay buffs to be honest, he might become beastly.

I've put a lot of thought into them, but it'll be interesting to see what if anything Capcom delivers.

Jackknife is his upkick, Rolling Sobat is the horizontal one.

I haven't seen that one, esp. since EX Jackknife is -22 and has 26f of recovery. It shouldn't be that hard to pop him out of that (offline).

Two gimmicks that I see way more and use extremely sparingly, are blocked slide at a certain range -> Ultra, and blocked EX Machine Gun Upper -> Ultra. They seem much more reliable than EX Jackknife -> Ultra, though not *that* reliable in general.

This is giving me painful memories of all the folks who would chuck out random MGBs with Dudley, then freak out when they realised they were in negative frames and mash ultra for dear life. GGs to bort in last night's game of chicken (seeing who would alt f4 first).

I've been told that's called a "frame trap".

These are especially good if you have a character that has a move that can trade or beat uppercuts (thinking along the lines of Bison Head stomp, herp derp Dee Jay vortex)

Dee Jay has a vortex?  :D

Well yeah, it involves pressing j.lk into cr.lp into that gay sweep then repeating that again, then repeating that again but stopping and throwing then repeating that it again then blocking - then throwing out a point blank EX jack knife (if that get's blocked go immediately to Ultra - do not pass go).

At least every Dee Jay I ever played anyway....  ;D

Bahahaha. EX jacknife to ultra is classic online. Fortunately we don't have any Deejay's on PC who are that shameless, because punishing Deejay's stuff can be tricky with even tiny lag spikes.

Was legit, Silden and his sister were both on a Japanese stream on a recent visit.

Link to archive/youtube upload?

My mistake in that it's a Korean one.

Silden is Dean. Michelle is his sister, they both took games from Poongko, among others.

Getting keen for PCarma BAM night!

I'm not sure if bort is going to BAM or if I'll have the time to organize much in advance, but I'll see what can be arranged on that one.

Like mentioned earlier in the thread, I'll be at SS!
