September 22nd, 2012:

- Pushed new ozhadou.net site live
- Implemented final SMF > Wordpress comment bridge (potentially buggy, still tweaking)
- Implemented live stream updates on front page (potentially buggy, still tweaking)
- Implemented news ticker for forums reflecting front page updates with comments (potentially buggy, still tweaking)
- Latest comments and forum discussion featured on front page

There are two keys aspects to this update. First being Spencer's fantastic restyling of the website with updated visuals and a consistent presentation style. Second being a unified authentication bridge between the front page and the forums to tie all commenting and user generated activity together. Your forum accounts now allow you to post on the forums and on the front page without having to login nor register additional accounts. All existing cookie data should carry across seamlessly.

You will also notice an area for 'Live Streams' that is automatically populated with active streams. If you have a stream you would like added to this list, please let me know. I have added a number of popular channels, though I anticipate there are others. Some time back I requested Australian hosted streams of which I have added (SNL, LanSmash, etc).

A lot of changes have gone into these updates so I'm expecting bugs, particularly with the commenting and authentication system. This might present itself by way of weird cookie errors and so on. If you encounter these, please let me know via a PM or by replying to this thread.

- Cookie smasher found (implement WP fetch iframe due to WP cookie conflict? - todo)
- Added live chat ala Fighterbase

A fix is coming soon for the cookie bug that is breaking collapse memory and some defined preferences (return to thread on reply for example). Turns out I'm doing something stupid juggling SMF and Wordpress cookie data.

IRC chat via Mibbit has been added to the forum. Selecting the 'Chat' link from the bar at the top of the page takes you to a Mibbit chat applet that automatically connects to EFNet and joins the #oh_test channel as your forum name. Testing for now. Could be fun, could be a nightmare. Play nice.

- Ditched profile info text in favour of selectable icons. Clicking these takes you to the relevant locations (Steam page, XBL/PSN profiles, Fighterbase) rather than it just being static information
- pogchamp and bort emotes added, cleaned up displayed noise
- Unbound cookie from just the child domain. Applicable to other (and TLD) domains also (i.e. ozhadou.net). Catch is that this requires the current session to be logged out and logged back in again to force cookie recreation
- DB and static clone for fresh a staging area due to feature and version creep
- Added chat module. Experimental
- ALT tag bug. Fix it you lazy shit

I've finally managed to get all my (long overdue) bug fixes in place. Apologies for the delay on these.

- Externally fetched ozhadou.net news updates are now called via an iframe so as to speed up forum page renders

Please issue a CTRL+F5 on your browser to force a page load that includes these changes.

- Added Twitter to custom fields. Add your Twitter details via selecting Profile > Forum Profile from the navigation bar. You do not need to specify your full address/URL - just your name as it appears on Twitter, the rest will be automagically populated (i.e. 'monsterjoe' will link to 'https://twitter.com/monsterjoe'). A linked Twitter icon will then display against your forum profile
- 'Featured Video' added (back!) to the front page
