The game is like 12 years old so of course there will be a few players with alot of experience.
Having said that; don't be discouraged though, I only started to play 3s in 2009 with the advent of GGPO and emulators.
I remember when i started playing 3s and got thoroughly thrashed, i thought i could never catchup to these players - learning a game so late in its life. Hell i remember Shaaaaa giving me a 28-1 beasting on ggpo/2df back in the day!
But i kept playing, and sure enough - like all things, with time I improved. Little by little over time and eventually it adds up.

My advice to players that want to improve;

- find a friend/rival equal to your skill level whom you can just grind it out. The more you play the better you'll understand the game mechanic.

- Once you got a general understanding of the game mechanic, challenge better players so you can review your progress.

- Dont try to be a hero and parry everything, it may initially seem like a 33% guessing game (throw, high parry, low parry)... but it's really not - especially when your opponent starts delaying their attacks.

- When in doubt block. Only parry when you start seeing patterns.

Dudley is a good choice, he's a beast in this game. Very fun and dangerous.
I still have a ton of things to learn and improve upon, but its a very fun game at high level, so imo worth it if you enjoy the game.
From my experience, its never too late to learn the game.

Yeah... that's why I just private all 8 until and if they realise it and patch it up with regional filter.

Also why they miss out the "Win Streak" count? WTF Capcom! ROFL~
