I'll be lying if I said I wasn't interested in this game.. but with this coming out after SFxTK... I don't see a point in getting hype for it. SFxTK aside... will anyone play it? I mean Soul Calibur 5... I put 15 hours into that game and 80% of my online matches were against Japanese players, didn't play a single ranked match since it couldn't match me up with an Aussie. I was hoping to play SC5 until the release of SFxTK.. but after a week I gave up since next to no one was playing it. Good thing the netcode was pretty damn awesome....

I can see the same thing happening with Skullgirls... it's even more niche than SC, KOF, Marvel etc and those never had massive communities.. certainly nothing like SFIV when Super came out. I'll probably still get it though...

I'm interested merely because it's supposed to be good, I haven't read or looked at too much of it, if it's got good gameplay though that's all I really care about I guess, a scene is useful though all my friends in real life only play SF and I don't get out much to lan events.

maybe if we all used IRC or something can just go 'whos up for game of x' and people can start a lobby easier, probably never happen tho and SFxT will still be fresh so maybe not.

Today I learnt a wonderful new word, "gainaxing."
Learning is fun!
This game glorifies violence. I love it for this reason.

I'm looking forward to this game. Fell of my radar for a while because it didnt have a solid release date and I was hype for StXT.

Considering the relatively lukewarm reception SFxT seems to be getting, it's entirely possible that Skullgirls does end up taking off.

Whats the ozhadou IRC channel details again?

I think that is the best idea for hooking up for games rather than faffing about on the forums adding friends etc then *hoping* someone turns up for a game.
Always cheap.

No wonder it was lagging, you were playing against the US. You won't find anyone from Aus yet because it hasn't been released on EU PSN yet.

Fo sho. Unless you're on at a peak our of SF4 then just throw an invite on the chat. Tis the niche we're in.
