I am genuinely surprised by this. I remember hearing they wanted to make a DOA vs VF game, but thought that was all just talk that wouldn't amount to anything.

Pretty cool bonus actually, I couldn't watch the vid that closely since the net seems to be lagging, but looks like they altered his playing style to fit DOA quite nicely.

Hornet was the best damn cross-over character ever.

It's a sentient NASCAR from Daytona USA revving it's engine to near-lethal sound levels to fight Janet "Hubcaps" Marshall from Virtua Cop 2.

It's worth noting that the car had Bahn's moveset from Fighting Vipers when it's Chassis was destroyed, and Janet had Aoi's moveset from VF3. So awesome ;D

Not pictured: A duck throwing bombs at a Palm-Tree while the plane from Afterburner flys overhead.

I feel like we need a Fighter's Megamix thread... and side tourney at SS2k12

Getting back to the topic though, I wonder if they'll have some DOA reference in the items for Final Showdown now? Anyone think this could be a precursor to some kind of bigger cross over?

Im actually getting a Sega Saturn on Friday....hopefully.
I actually bought one on launch day-played it more than my PS. Anyways...

I'd love a proper VF vs DOA, Virtua Fighters my fave fighterever, shames its not so popular in Oz.Cant wait for VF 5 FT on Xbla to come out...goes to find release date.
I'm actually planning on using that Saturn alongside the DC for my arcade cabinet. I love/d Sega, wish they'd get there act together and bring back all the mad franchises they have on their shelves gathering dust. A good Sonic game wouldn't hurt either.

@Kyle If you missed out on Fighters Megamix and the glory that came with it.

May I assume you missed out on Pepsiman? And also the Sega Saturn mascot in Japan, Segata Sanshiro.
