UMVC3 button layout?
« on: May 22, 2012, 02:28:07 AM »
well i have been always curious for stick players or pad, about their button layout when playing a mashing game like this  :o

my friend asked me on what my layout is and he was like wow weird ahha.
i use:
L M A1
S H A2

is there a specific layout that is best used for this game, so you are less likely to randomly press assist or better for dashing etc. what are your thoughts? or who gives a crap cuz marvel is RANDOM!
FADC Ultra? -.-

Pretty sure most people use:
L M H
S A1 A2

I think some of the oldschool Marvel 2 players use, or used to use:
L H A1
M S A2
The Walking Meme. Fruit Ninja Enthusiast. Can block Magneto. Can't block Vega.

I personally like:

L  M  H
S  1   2

better because you have your thumb, index, middle and ring finger comfortably placed on each of the attack buttons.  The attack buttons are actually used more often then the assists so its better to react to things.  I know QLD use the format that you use ie. mvc2 format.  Not much difference if you are more comfortable with what you know.  Arnold uses pad and he took out OHN and placed 9th at SS.   ;D ;D ;D

I think tvc layout is better than mvc2, although I don't plan to switch anytime soon.

Zero is easier on tvc, and mags can tri jump light without having to use a fraud (m+h) button.
