Apparently the combos break guard before the opponent can gain one bar!

I was wondering what the purpose was for the video when I watched it but for the reason mentioned it seems like a pretty good one. Even if they gained 1 meter when their guard is about to be crushed you can tell they're going to want to Guard Cancel something.

I'm glad you're thrilled. ;D

Also, Professor from MMCafe recently released CafeID's MADKOF's, Koogle Translator's (no, not the peanut butter spread. apparently "Koogle" was a random name deriving from "Google" lol), and Lacid's tier charts. He'll may post GUTS and 1st Man's  after they sort out the technical difficulties from their end.

MADKOF's KOFXIII Tier Chart
Lacid's KOFXIII Tier Chart
Koogle Translator's KOFXIII Tier Chart

These charts were originally were from Professor's interview but ended up another site due to miscommunication. Here's some more additional info:

Quote from: MMCafe's Professor
Also, MadKOF regarding his thoughts on the EVO competition. Translations courtesy of Koogle--

Who were your toughest opponents at EVO? (Not including members of your own team)
What were the reasons they were tough?

MadKOF:
Luis Cha, Reynald, and BALA.
Luis Cha was much stronger than any other opponents I played on the first day of the tournament. I underestimated him a little bit in the first game because I had easier time winning until I played against him.
Reynald was my first opponent in the top 8 matches. I was really nervous and had tough time playing against Reynald.
As expected from the best in North America, BALA was very skilled and was a tough opponent.

Link to original post on MMCafe.

I also made some small changes on my previous post. The information regarding life regeneration after each round is handy to know.

Edit: MADKOF has a twitch.tv account now. http://ja.twitch.tv/madkof

Well... looks like all of them are agree that Athena and Robert (and some others) are bottom tier. :S But I reckon that is because they aren't played enough with them. I think CafeID thought that Billy was bottom tier until they fought against Bala and the Mexican crew.

I also wouldn't say Kensou feels like he's a bottom tier character, like I read Reynald thought he was... maybe I only say that because he's really basic/simple to use.

He does have some really stumpy little limbs and normals I guess.

Kensou gets demolished by character's that shut-down his only decent normals (cr.D, CD, j.CD). If he knocks you down and you have to block a fireball he's a monster, he's got set-ups for days. I can see Reynald's view though, his normals are comparatively ass and his damage output w/o meter + corner is pretty low (but he builds it pretty quickly and corner carries well)

I dont know if you guys can take anything from this but its just a training tip that I came up with for 2x hcb motions for 2P side. Its specific I know but maybe it can applied/adapted to other difficult motions that cant be done with shortcuts. When timing is involved I find them extra difficult because the motion itself is taxing.

With ralf I want to cancel the last punch of my qcbhcf+B/D super into my neomax when I'm doing my HD combos. The neomax is a 2x hcb motion and usually I miss one direction and I do this pretty consistently on the 2P side. To counteract this I do hcb+A/B/C/D, hcb AC. The inputs for the 1st hcb are unecessary but for some reason it just works with my muscle memory better because I am used to just hcb by itself.

For some reason this works for me so I thought I would share it since I've heard motions some ways are difficult for others.
