Regarding Round 4.

Street Fighter X Tekken has been Removed from the tournament season indefinitely.

This decision was made after discussions with the local player base about the preferred  tournaments to be held for the season. Apologies to the few who enjoy Street Fighter X Tekken but the consensus is that the lifespan for Street Fighter X Tekken is very short, the player base waning and the game lacking general interest from the community at large.

All ranking points from Street Fighter X Tekken will still go towards the seasonal MVP rankings.


Veteran players will be glad to hear that Street Fighter X Tekken will be replaced with

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition.

Format: Double Elimination
Console: Xbox 360
Rounds: Best of 3 (Winners, Losers and Grand Final Best of 5)
Soft Bans: None (At players Request)
Hard Bans: Characters: Gill

In case of draw, judgement will not be recognized and the last match will be replayed.

Apoligies for the lack of updates rather busy holding it down across Uni, Work and other projects so I haven't been able to visit OzHadou as regularly as I once have.

Regarding the results from Round 4

Due to road works on the day. Rundle St lost internet so we did the brackets manually and due to this there is no online record of Round 4, The results however have been updated Round by Round and you can download Round 4 Table from the first post.

Want to thank everyone for their continued efforts over the course of the season. We're starting to see a greater level of ability being seen across the board in every game so far and it's fantastic to see some more unknown players wander in and join the growing SAFGC.

Really bolsters the feeling that SA is moving in the right direction and with the new crop of players helping us establish a much healthier community and I have no doubt we'll start seeing these results amongst the rest of Australia with the travelling contingent for BAM.

Regarding Round 6

Round 6 has been moved to October 7th due to conflicts with BAM on that previous weekend. Please keep this date in mind as it will be the last time players have a chance to get their points to place for the final series in late October.

Only the Top 8 will play off for the title of Season champion in each respective game.

Finals date still being worked on, will have it locked in by Round 6.

Again, thanks to all who have and continue to participate in the season and best of luck to all of South Australia at BAM on the 29th and 30th of September.

Round 6 is done and dusted, and with that we have our top 8 players for each of the games in the tournament series for 2012.

I want to say a huge thankyou to all the players and people involved this season to date, we've seen many people stand up and put in the time each week and monthly tournament by donating tech, helping with brackets etc.

These events cannot continue to grow without the help of everyone in the community, again my thanks for your efforts over the course of the season.

Finals will take place October 28th at Arena Internet Cafe.

Casuals will start from 1pm, everyone in attendance will pay the usual cover charge to play casuals and join in before the finals kick off.
This time will also be dedicated for participants to warm up for their respective titles.

Regarding playoffs for 8th place.

We have 2 playoffs this season to determine 8th place. These playoffs will take place on the day of the Finals before their respective tournaments.

It will be single elimination best of 3 set.

It is the expectation that the participants for this finals series confirm their attendance for October 28th, if you cannot make the finals series you need to contact myself via any of the usual things and we can sort something out.

Presentation and Awards including the SAFGC MVP for 2012 will be presented at 10pm, stick around and show your support for the folks who have made their mark on 2012 in South Australia.

Update.

Ok, there was a Judges error when recording the victor of UMVC3 on Sunday.

I've got the updated bracket fixed and prize money will be fixed this coming Sunday as well.

Due to this new result, Hybrid and JimmyRiddle are both tied on 18 points.

On top of this

Reece204 and Nedjoe will also play off for 2nd place. (UMVC3)

Nerk & TheUndyingMage are also tied and will play off for 2nd Place (KoFXIII)

Before October 28th we'll have a set between these two, best of 5 to determine who is placed higher for the sake of seeding the finals for the 28th.
