Hooray! After months of silence, SEGA has given western release dates for the Platinum Games fighter Anarchy Reigns. The game will hit the 360 and PS3 January 8, 2013 in the US and January 11, 2013 in Europe, with a retail price of $29.99/£19.99/€29.99. No word on the Bayonetta DLC, but fingers crossed that we get it.

I think I'll get this when it hits, it seemed fun from the demo (but not enough for me to drop money on an import right away).

$29.99 in US/Euro probably translates to about $39/$49 in Australia monies, but yeah, who knows. I would imagine only EBgames and JB Hi Fi will be carrying this on our shores, but we can always just hop on eBay and do the old 'Sort by price an postage: lowest first'. It'll be nice if it gets a decent online community for some low lag deathmatches online.

I actually imported this eariler in the year its exellent but i cant play with japanese players due to lag so if you guys wanna play with me add me and send me a message on psn.

Actually that makes me think, I wonder if the dominant console will be PS3 or 360 for this. 360 seems to be the default console for most fighting games, but I feel most players would have gotten this on PS3 if they got it already because it's region free.

Shame there is no offline MP, otherwise it would have been cool to have a setup or two at gatherings.

I don't know if I'm missing something but this game seems like utter garbage at the moment. Single player might be fun if it wasn't so grind-y and full of unskippable cut-scenes. Multiplayer fell into the exact problem I thought it would, it's online based, but a concept so niche that there is nobody online. You're either waiting all day and night for a room to fill up or playing in lag city.

I bought this for 360, from Zavvi however, so it'll probably be ~3 weeks before it gets here.

I have it on 360.  The game is good!  Not sure how much depth is in the combat yet but its got good multiplayer.  If not too many people are online 4 player deathmatch is a good mode.
Haven't organised a big match yet.
