Qanba 2 fight Stick issue

Hey All,

I've had a quick look on here and online but I've managed to just confuse myself more. I bought a Fight Stick from Play-Asia a few weeks ago however the square button will randomly stop working unless I give the key a hard bash which then after a few minutes it will randomly stop working again.

My guess it that there is possibly a loose connector but I don't actually know how to fix that or open up the stick. Can anybody point me in the right direction please? I would usually just take that back to the store however being in Melbourne and their store being in Hong Kong I would rather a quick and local resolution.

Definitely sounds like a dicey connector pin on the button pot. Easiest fix is to clamp the connector in with a pair of pliars if its a bit loose, or replace the bottom of the connector at the end of the wire. Both of these options require you to crack the housing open though. Its very straight forward however - once you're digging around in there it will make sense as to how things are connected (and how they can fail from time to time).

Melbourne has a strong offline scene with a good amount of folks that should be able to assist you if you were to perhaps attend one of their regular local gatherings and take your stick in with you. For example, Chris' Club House is a regular event held in Melbourne:

Where you could take your stick next time an event is on and ask someone to take a look at it. Likewise with the 'ShadowLogic' gatherings held regularly in Melbourne.

Awesome. Managed to get the stick working after opening it up and tightening the connections.

Will have to check the Richmond library soon. They still happening?
