Yeah bring it on!!! I wonder what new game mechanics (if any) they will introduce/discard?

From the trailer it looks like they will be keeping ultra combos at least

Trailers being taken down left and right. Try this one: http://a.pomf.se/uxpcau.webm
If that gets taken down then: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XODQyMzY0MDMy.html

Surprised they're only having it as PC/PS4 exclusive. I'll get it on PC anyway. I hope most people do so we don't have a big split of players on PS/XB/PC like with SF4.

Also, it kinda looks just like SF4 from the graphics, and it seems to zoom in when you're doing a special move like Ryu's tatsu or Chun Li's air special, which looks like it would kinda be irritating. Don't know, maybe you'll just get used to it, like watching through 10 second ultras was annoying, but you just got used to it.

Have to see what the mechanics are, but from the trailer it seems they're really pushing for the hardcore fighting fans, rather than trying to appeal to the broader casual audience. Lots of tournament video trying to hype it up for the competitive scene.

I hope it doesn't have ultras, or focus attacks. Didn't really like either mechanic.....just make it like 3rd Stirke, the GOAT fighting game.

We need 3rd strike parry with SF4 grey damage!

Less damage ultras please. Max 350 damage would be nice and sped up super arts. I like how straight forward 3rd strike was, that super flash and a shadow trail. Old school and lovely.

Looks interesting, Ryu looks shifty.

Can we stock multiple Supers again I wonder. SF4 was meant to return to Super Turbos style, I wonder if that approach remains unchanged.

The footage makes me wonder if it's the same engine as SF4. It looks to be.

I'm excited for SFV, mainly for a new system and the likelihood of new original characters. I'm thinking the game will follow on from 3S story wise so it could be great to see the 3S characters who didn't make it into SFIV.

So far the skeletal animation system appears to be the same, with it actually demonstrating some of the same shared animation sets from SFIV (some of the reeling, fall and spin animations for example). Place holders perhaps?

Graphically its had quite an overhaul though. I'm curious to know how it feels. Recall SFxT used the same engine, albeit in a heavily modified way. The feel of the game was completely foreign however which really threw me off when I first tried it and it's for that reason that I can't bring myself to make any assumptions about SFV, especially considering it's still under development.

I'm really keen to see some gameplay demonstrations this coming weekend at Capcom Cup - that ought to paint a much clearer picture for sure. I'm loving the beefed up detail this game is going to enjoy graphically though. Some of the characters and stages are going to look fantastic.

Hopefully all those effects are for demo purposes and the final product is a bit less jarring on the eyes so we can follow what is going on more easily. It has a very 3d fighter look to me, like MK9 or something, so I'm immediately reminded of the EX series. But SF4 looked decidedly 3d with lots of flashy effects when it was first advertised, yet the final product looked and played exactly like a 2d fighter, albeit with more glam.

Some interesting things from GAF:

- Time / Weather effects in stages
- Release date : 2016, before the end of the fiscal year.
- Unreal Engine 4
- The new mechanic is named V-Trigger : You can change your stance.
- 16 characters
- No Super Street Fighter 2X + EX (Updates kinda like League of Legends / Killer Instinct)
- The story mode will be way much better, they know they fucked up with sf4.
- The PC version is here mostly because they want to bring the game to Latin America, South Asia, Africa

Did anyone notice on 0:34, Chun kicked a knocked down Ryu? Bound?

By Time/weather effects, are they simply talking about what they did with the Hippo stage? Or does it go beyond that. Does it mean if Sydney is raining to shit right now, and I decide to play in Australia/Opera House at that precise moment, it's going to be raining in the game? Or snowy weather in Moscow?

It's cool to see Ryu with Denjin again, and I'm glad if they didn't put in Joudan sokutou geri, because that move was pointless if not EX.

I really hate the camera zoom and cinematic mode on Ultra combos, view of the entire screen is valuable information. Fuck off with appealing to the casual audience.

Look how quick Guy's Musou Renge is in SFA3, and yet it's still more badass.

Here is some gameplay with MIKE ROSS and Charlie is added to the roster

http://www.kotaku.com.au/2014/12/watch-street-fighter-v-played-live-for-the-first-time/

In what I have seen in that demo, it plays like the SF alpha games.

What you guys think ?
