Ken took hair-tips from Geralt (Witcher) and fashion-tips from Terry Bogard (SNK)?

It's Alex Grady from Best of the Best so that by extension makes it the best redesign ever

I didn't like the design at all on first glance, but that all faded when I watched the gameplay. I've went from this looks kind "meh" to pumped in the last few weeks. I'm not overly fussed on the looks of the characters (although the faces do seem fucking strange).

Some of the screen cosmetics still bother me, but those will be fixed I bet. The only other element is that the push back of the normals looks quite big, but the moves seem to reach out for juggles that don't look possible (animation wise).

Game seems to look a lot better from when that first Ryu vs Chun trailer was released. Looks faster, V skill and trigger look ok, even though V trigger just looks like an X factor mode for a lot of players.

It's getting better at least. Would have liked to see less SF characters and more new ones or at least for the old characters to be given the Ken treatment and play pretty different than before.

Apparently SF5 Ryu's sweep has a far longer recovery period. I'm interested in which other normals get the same treatment - maybe the idea is to allow easier whiff punishing in online play, which as it stands is pretty fucking difficult, at least for old cunts like me.

That sfv Necalli clip is crazy!

Loving the intensity of the character.

Street fighter version of sabre-toothed from xmen. Love it!

Yo yo!

I got the chance to play about 10 matches this morning. Unfortunately, all my matches were from the USA or UK. However, the latency was ALOT better than I thought.  You would get the occasional lag spikes which is expected. so, it's safe to say, vsing aussies would be smooth as.
You must master the stick before you master the game.

The BETA is live now. Testing for the EU region, but I guess we can get in 'cause we're PAL. Played a few games against people from Sweden, plenty of rollbacks, bit of input lag here and there. Not even a minute in training mode before finding matches! Wish I could just train for a little bit to test out stuff before getting into matches.

Played this during the weekend for about 3 hours. Same experiences as Namsta, couple of games against US players were actually playable, some matches had so much roll back it was hard to see where the character is on the screen. Hopefully I can get some connections against Australian players this weekend.

It's been interesting to read about Aussies getting into the SF5 beta and having such good experiences given we've not been explicitly on Capcom's radar so far. It sounds like there are global rounds planned in the near future so I look forward to reading more local feedback on the experience. :)

For anyone that's keen to try SF5 but hasn't signed up for the beta, Capcom is bringing SF5 demos to OHN13 for people to try.

No we didn't have R.Mika or Rashid.

We did have Ken, Necalli and Vega.
